The skin of the erhu barrel is the key to the sound quality. Snakeskin is often used, and python skin is the best. The the thickness of an adult python’s skin is moderate, and the rhombus is uniform, ensuring that the sound resonance is transparent and balanced.

White Horse Tail Bow String
The bow consists of two parts: the shaft and the string. The bow shaft is made of bamboo, with good elasticity and better performance. In the past, nylon silk and horsehair were used for the bowstring. The white horse tail was the best, followed by the black horsetail.
