Old Paulownia Wood
The body of the Fuxi Style Guqin is made of old dead Paulownia wood, which contains less gum and has a clear sound. This kind of wood is lightweight and not easily deformed.

Hand Polished Grooves
There are two hand-polished sound grooves at the bottom of the Guqin. The larger one in the middle is called “Dragon Pond,” and the smaller ones in the tail are called “Phoenix Marsh.” The sound grooves follow the traditional ancient grooving method, making the Guqin enjoy a good sound quality.
